The Pissed Off Grandma's
WOWT 6 interview & photos
Event took place on July 17th at 72nd & Dodge St. Omaha
We were supporting SOYEP (South Omaha Empowerment Project) they knew family members taken away from the raid at Glenn Valley Foods. These were young kids who knew individuals taken and they organized this event for their community and were very impressive. We collected food, school supplies and donations to help the families. We also recognized John Lewis, his passing five years ago, and all he did.
We backed a pickup back to the curb and donations of food and school supplies filled it until it was a towering heap! Cash Donations will give this team the ability to fill in any blank spots to continue helping the South Omaha families impacted by the ICE RAIDS.
Several of the group leaders were interviewed for television coverage. They represented themselves the Latino Community and YOUTH across America proudly.
OUR LMF team was proud of them and of supporting their efforts for standing up for their community. If you didn't get to attend the event you can still donate - just tap / click the button.
